Not only do the Augment crews require them but the Borg do now as well. Depending on where you are in the game this can be major.

I get all I need from refining daily, unlike the Franklin the Vi'Dar scales quite nicely into the higher tiers.

In general I think this is a waste of credits.

The blueprints available depend on level and faction rep but go all the way from the Jellyfish and Northstar, to Franklin and the Vi'Dar all the way up to the Enterprise and the other epic ships. I maintain 2 drastically different opinions based on the blueprint. For Borg Armadas 5 and 8 are very strong but without a known future of borg content are they worth it? 10of10 can be worth it if you mine a lot.
